Also within a few miles are the twin harbours of Mevagissey.
The Pentewan Trail, a traffic-free section of the Cornish Way cycle-route, passes by The Cornwall Estate. Porthpean Beach – a classic Cornish cove with café, kayaks and gentle waves – is less than two miles away.
From there, you could walk along the Coastal Path to Charlestown, the film set for Disney's recent remake of Alice in Wonderland, and countless pirate and seafaring films. You'll find all of these on our interactive map of local attractions.
To cap it all, there is shopping at White River Place, a recently completed £75m development at St Austell, includes a multiplex cinema, shops and restaurant.
A little further afield, there's the magnificent Tate Gallery at St Ives (our Reception Team can arrange tickets for you, at a 50% discount), and The Minack Theatre, and the surfing beaches of North Cornwall - all perfect for day trips.
Truro, the County Town of Cornwall, is about 25 minutes away from The Cornwall. It is a bustling Cathedral City and historic Market Town full of richness and diversity with regular markets.
